COVID-19: What to expect?

In the event WordCamp Birmingham 2020 is unable host an in-person event, we will make every effort to notify attendees including, but not limited to, this website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and email.

We will be working closely with WordCamp Central and our our venue to ensure we maintain the safety of all participants. We will also be monitoring guidance from the Alabama and Jefferson County Health Departments.

Attendee Responsibility

Do not attend WordCamp Birmingham 2020 if:
•You have recently traveled out of the country
•You have come in contact with someone you suspect has COVID-19
•You experience symptoms of COVID-19
•You test positive for COVID-19 or any other illness

Precautions at the Event

We will strive to provide hand sanitizer at the event. Hand sanitizer should be at least 60% alcohol to be effective.
•Wash your hands and use soap after using the bathroom, after eating, and after touching your face.
•Cough or sneeze into your elbow or shoulder, not your hands.
•Do not touch your face.
•Do not shake hands. Instead, bump elbows, salute, or bow respectfully.

Refunds

If we’re unable to hold WordCamp Birmingham 2020 as an in-person event, attendees will be refunded for tickets purchased.
